THE STORY

Nicaraguan microlots are a relatively recent addition to the speciality coffee canon — largely thanks to second-generation producers like the Albir sisters. Inheriting their father’s passion, the sisters focused heavily on high-quality, single varietal crops. Dipilto Maracaturra — a natural hybrid of Maragogype and Caturra varietals — is the stunning result of their efforts.

We are tasting grapefruit, orange peel and white wine from Dipilto, with a dark chocolate note completing the cup.
